Getting started
New to kitesurfing
I’ve never tried kitesurfing. Can I start here?
Yes. Our Level 1 lesson is made for first-timers. You start on the beach with kite control and safety, then move into the water as soon as you’re ready, step by step with an IKO certified instructor.
How long does it take to learn?
Most people need around 9 to 12 hours of lessons to ride on their own, which is why our Zero to Hero course is 12 hours. It depends on you and on the conditions, so we don’t promise a fixed number of hours, and we tell you honestly where you are after every session.
Am I too old to learn?
Probably not. What matters is good instruction, reasonable fitness and the willingness to learn. We adapt the pace to you.
Can couples or families learn together?
Yes. Book a paired lesson if you’re at a similar level, or a private lesson each if you progress at different speeds.
Booking
How booking works
How do I book?
Send us a WhatsApp message with your dates, how many people and your level. We’ll recommend the right course and plan your lessons around the wind forecast.
How do we organize my lessons?
As soon as you arrive in Playa del Carmen, message us on WhatsApp and we’ll schedule your lessons on the best wind days. During your stay, we’ll also let you know in advance whenever good conditions are coming.
What happens if there’s no wind?
We move your lesson to the next good day. Since you pay after your lesson, you never pay for a session that didn’t happen. On no-wind days you can also try wakeboarding or the Foil Clinic with Boat.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your lesson.
Prices & payment
Prices and payment
How much does a kitesurf lesson cost?
Level 1 (3 hours): US$349 private or US$289 per person paired. Level 2 (6 hours): US$649 / US$539. Level 3 (9 hours): US$929 / US$749. Zero to Hero (12 hours): US$1,189 / US$939. See all kitesurf courses.
What’s the difference between private and paired?
