This policy explains what personal data PDC Kiteboarding / Kiteholic Board Sports and Outdoor (“PDC Kiteboarding”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit mexico.pdckiteboarding.com or contact us to book a lesson, course or rental at Coco Beach, Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and how we use it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What data we collect

Data you give us. When you contact us by WhatsApp, email or a form on this site, we receive the information you choose to share: usually your name, phone number, email address, travel dates, number of people, riding level and any details you tell us about your booking. If you take a lesson, we may also ask about your swimming ability, experience and anything relevant to your safety on the water.

Payment data. We do not take payments on this website and we never ask for card details through it. If you pay by PayPal or bank transfer, the payment is processed by that provider under its own privacy policy; we only receive the confirmation and the details needed to match it to your booking.

Data collected automatically. When you browse the site, our analytics and advertising tools (section 4) collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, approximate location, the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site and whether you clicked a WhatsApp or email link. Our security software also logs IP addresses to protect the site against attacks.

3. How we use your data

  • To answer your questions and arrange, confirm and deliver your lessons, courses or rentals.
  • To keep you safe on the water and match you with the right instructor, equipment and session.
  • To send you practical information about your booking, such as wind updates or schedule changes.
  • To understand how visitors use the site and improve it.
  • To measure the results of our ads and show our ads to people who have visited our site (remarketing).
  • To protect the site and comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails unless you ask us to.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising

This site uses cookies and similar technologies from the following services:

  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Google LLC): visitor statistics and measurement of clicks on WhatsApp and email links.
  • Google Ads (Google LLC): conversion tracking, to know when a visitor who saw one of our ads contacts us, and remarketing, to show our ads to people who previously visited this site on other websites and apps in the Google network.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.): measurement and audiences for ads on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Google Maps and YouTube (Google LLC): embedded maps and videos, which may set their own cookies when you view them.
  • Language and performance cookies: to remember your language (English or Spanish) and keep the site fast and secure.

You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. 5. Who we share data with

  • Our team: instructors and staff who need your details to organize and teach your session.
  • Service providers: WhatsApp (Meta), our email and website hosting providers, Google, Meta and payment providers such as PayPal, each acting under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Partner operators: only when you book an activity run with a partner (for example, a session at another spot or venue), and only the details needed for that booking.
  • Authorities: when required by law, or in an emergency to protect someone’s safety.

Some of these providers are located outside Mexico, mainly in the United States, so your data may be transferred and stored there.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep booking and contact information for as long as we need it to provide our services, handle any questions about your booking and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Analytics and advertising data is kept according to the retention settings of Google and Meta. When we no longer need your data, we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. Your rights

Under Mexican data protection law you can request access to your personal data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to a specific use of it (your ARCO rights). You can also withdraw any consent you have given. If you live in another country, you may have similar rights under your local law, and we will respect them.

To make a request, email info@pdckiteboarding.com with your name, a way to contact you and a description of what you need. We will reply within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact your data protection authority.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and security software on this site. No system is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive information we have not asked for.

9. Children

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data through it. Bookings for minors must be made by a parent or guardian.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be published on this page.
